Your Treatment Journey

What to Expect with Oral Appliance Therapy

If you and your physician decide that Oral Appliance Therapy (OAT) is right for you, you will undergo a specialized, patient-focused treatment process:

Custom Fabrication

Unlike over-the-counter options, your oral appliance is custom-fitted to your specific dental anatomy for maximum comfort and clinical efficacy.

Clinic Calibration

Over the course of a few months, your dentist will gradually adjust (titrate) the device to find the precise position that provides the maximum medical benefit for your breathing.

Follow-Up Care

Regularly scheduled appointments with your dentist are essential. These visits allow us to monitor your progress, manage your OSA, and prevent potential side effects such as jaw discomfort.

Physician Assessment

Once the appliance is properly adjusted, you will return to your physician for a follow-up sleep study to verify therapeutic success.
